Clocks change...British Summer Time?!

Well, its my one day off, the clocks have gone forward an hour signalling British Summer time...and its raining with a fair wind blowing! Never mind, hopefully things will now improve, it smells like spring out there and there is a vase of daffodils on the table beside me.

A week ago I was in beautiful Malta in the sunshine, taking in the rays and looking at fields full of vegetables, the sea shimmering and a warm breeze wafting by - what a difference a few days make! Come on summer, we need you!

Malta yay, but will miss work!

In a weeks time I will be in lovely Malta, we go every year (would love to go more often) to see my other half's parents and hopefully have some sun! It is an amazing island filled with history and beautiful things, the other side of the visit is always vey social and fun, can't wait!

The only downside is that I will miss work, odd I know, but the shop I have with 3 friends really is great fun, I hope they have a good time without me though, and do plenty of business. Serendipity Llanandras is an eclectic shop selling new and vintage items as well as handmade crafts, always something new and exciting on sale!

Work and Music.

It has been a long evening in front of the computer creating a website for a shop I am involved with - a wonderful emporium of loveliness called Serendipity in Presteigne, Powys (details as soon as it goes live). I have been listening to Spotify the whole time, it really helps, however the range has passed from Deadmaus, through some Zero 7, Green Day, Simple Minds and on to Les Fleur...quite varied, but all enjoyable! Clear stars, snowy trees.

This evening we had our first real snow of this winter, huge flakes falling and covering everything with a quiet, snow-lit blanket. Within the space of a couple of hours, even though it is cold outside, the snow has started to melt, and the sky has cleared to reveal a beautiful display of twinkling stars - Orion shining over the snow dusted trees is a truly remarkable sight which I feel very lucky to have seen.

TWO days away from the computer!

Well folks, I did it, managed a whole 2 days away from the computer - how sad is that?! Of course, when I turned it on today there were a huge amount of emails to trawl through, but still, it was a break. I hope you all had a great Christmas, the next event of course is new year...I will try to have the first day of 2015 computerless too...just for novelty value!

Christmas and a computer-free day?!

Hi all, it's Christmas eve and I think everything is just about done! The last of the wrapping, cards all out and people seen, so now it is time to kick back, go and see some friends tonight, then eat a lot tomorrow. I am going to try and have a day without the computer too - it is but once a year after all, although I will still have my phone just in case.
