Splutter...

I have a cold...a nasty one, plus my existing bad back...not happy about it at all! Who can I complain to if not my blog? I hope you are avoiding illness wherever you are. It is horrible, I'm such a outdoor person, and as you know, mainly at night but I can't risk tripping over something or stumbling blindly into a tree because I can't stop sneezing! Bluegh!

Anyway, rant over, peace out everyone!

Saw a few.

I couldn't struggle outdoors to see the meteor shower due to my back which really pissed me off, but I managed to see some from my flat window, even with the light pollution, sitting on the sofa or looking out of the kitchen window, lights off, still pretty spectacular! Hope you all saw some wherever you are.

Anyway, I am siting at my desk as per-usual on a Saturday, listening to Gun, possibly the most underrated band ever, drinking tea and I think my painkillers have kicked in...X-Files later will round the day off nicely!

So...

...it's a torn muscle, could take a while to heal so I have to be patient...not too good at that! Anyway, could be worse so I am grateful for small mercies.

Think I saw a couple of meteors last night but tonight is supposed to be the peak, as long as there are no clouds! I shall have a look at midnight and go from there I think, hope you see them wherever you are!

Yep.

Still hurts! I slept on the sofa last night / this morning with my knee on a cushion - it helped a bit, this has to be a muscle thing and I am told it could take a while to sort itself out...patience is a virtue! As long as it's better in time for my week in Scotland next month I'll be happy!

Anyway, I hope you are all well and that my moanings about pain aren't catching! Don't forget to keep an eye on the sky tomorrow night, the Perseid's meteor shower this year is pegged as being the best for a long time, I just hope it is a clear night - the benefits of being nocturnal is that I'll be up anyway so I'll let you know if you miss it.

I have hurt my back, it started on Saturday and it is now Tuesday - enough I say! Think it's a muscular thing rather than a bone thing, I probably slept awkwardly or in a draft or something...we'll see. If anyone knows a good remedy do let me know, I am drinking Sweet Fennel tea today for it's anti-inflamatory properties. I would have a bath but am not sure I'd be able to get out!

Anyway, I hope all is well with all of you, it is a lovely sunny day here at the moment but we did have rain for most of the night which is good as we needed it really, I also love being in my kitchen in the middle of the night with rain lashing outside - magikal!

Mothman

Just finished watching The Mothman Prophecies for the nth time - great film based on fascinating paranormal accounts - read the book, it will explain all. Always gives me the shivers mind you!
Anyway, hope you are all well, just a brief post tonight - got to do more ironing (seems that's all I do) to get t-shirts for the other half for work in the morning.Take care folks!

Weird life.

The life of a nocturnal person is odd to most I understand, for example, my other-half went to bed about an hour ago, it is 1.10am and I have just cleaned the fish tank, I will iron next. We get to see the TV programmes on during the night that others don't, have peace and quiet and usually a good Internet speed! The moon is stunning tonight too - well actually its the clouds that are impressive reflecting the moonlight.
Anyway, off to iron I go, probably go to bed around 4am - quite tired today!
