Oh me legs!

Had to do a lot of walking around today - stunning blue skies, lovely sunset, snow on the ground and a nip in the air - but hard work on the old leg muscles! I aim to sit except maybe to do a bit of ironing and rest accordingly!

Solstice.

I have to admit I didn't stay up to see the eclipse, to be honest we wouldn't have seen much, very foggy this morning with more snow showers. However, the winter solstice has been lovely, the shortest day of the year has been a very busy one! Managed to spend an hour with my folks this afternoon drinking tea whilst looking at a snowy garden though.

I am off out to a friend's house later, will be fed too! Then I'm hoping for a late walk home in the snow, just me and the weather then some telly throughout the night - better make sure we have enough tea bags.

Cold.

Where does the time go?! Last post was November - my apologies.

Anyway, I have to say that I am enjoying the freezing weather, so pretty, clear skies at night, cosy evenings with the telly, and a fab night in our local on Friday - pint, log fire, snowing outside - perfect! As long as the pipes don't freeze we'll be ok. However, this is all well and good if there is nothing to be done or nowhere to go. You have my sympathies if this is the case, take great care and keep warm wherever you are and go steady!

Boyan

Just been to see the Boyan Ensemble of Kiev again - we see them every year at around this time, it kind of marks the start of winter-proper for me, the haunting tones of their choir is wonderful and the time goes by so quickly! I wish them a safe journey with the rest of the tour and back to the Ukraine.

Walking home I noticed how amazing the moon is tonight, really bright with a ring around it - sign of snow and it is forecast, it is sooooo cold though, we'll have to see! I love it as long as I don't have to do anything but unfortunately we have the Ludlow Medieval Christmas Fayre this weekend and don't want snow for that!

Anyway, signing off, time to get a warm drink and cosy up.

Stormy!

What a brilliantly stormy day it is here, wind gusting, rain lashing and it's cold to boot - perfect weather for staying in, drinking coffee and feeling cosy! How's the weather with you?

Dark and damp

That was this morning, misty, dark and drizzling with rain, it is forecast mind you - I can't wait for the gales to arrive later or tomorrow - stormy = good! Anyway, its a good day to be stuck at the computer, I'm doing work stuff for Rehome-a-Book and drinking lots of coffee in the meantime, although lunch would be a good idea, its 2.20pm and I haven't eaten yet today - most unlike me!

Halloween

Had a great one, we had nachos for tea, followed by sticky chocolate cake and watched The Crow - one of my fave movies, hard to beat that any night but especially good on halloween!
Its a very misty morn here, atmospheric to say the least, must crack on with work today after a lazy weekend, check out my other, business related blog HERE if you are interested!
